Etro speaks with Claudia Marini of #TheCircleOfPoets
Name: Claudia Marini

Based in: Lodi, Italy
For me, Etro is a meeting of refined colours, history and culture.
Etro is Play… which elements do you like to play with in the creation of your works?
I love to play with patterns and interesting decorative motifs often found in the traditional textiles of other cultures. Or from surfaces found in nature or chance encounters on the street.
Etro is Colour… if you could be any colour, which would you be and why?
I wouldn’t want to be any colour in particular. Every colour draws its sensibility and strength from being placed nearby other colours. I would prefer to be a colour wheel.
Etro is Travel… if you were to travel to any place real or imagined place in the world to spark new ideas for your art, where would you go?
There are several places I would like to visit. At this time, I would like to see some of South America in order to deepen my understanding of different cultures through their use of colour and the development of decorative motifs.
Etro is Nature… if you could be any animal, which would you be and why?
I would like to be a bird to see places typically inaccessible to humans and change my point of view.
