VELA BAG

Vela is the first bag designed by Marco De Vincenzo for ETRO.

The aerodynamic shape and the pointed section draw inspiration from the nautical world and seemingly 'cuts' through the wind like a sail. The new V-closure features a special zip fastening and a chain with a two-sided medallion and double ETRO/Pegaso logo created with the same technique used to make coins. The calfskin bag is available in the carry-over tones of black, ivory and gianduia alongside a rotation of seasonal colours.

The bag has a detachable double shoulder strap and is perfect to wear on the shoulder or as a cross-body.

THE VELA BAG: CRAFTSMANSHIP, DESIGN AND INNOVATION

The Vela bag unveils a new season for ETRO bags.

A contemporary design object, the bag is distinct for its clean lines and celebrates the excellence of Italian craftsmanship and manufacturing.

The leather is cut into panels coupled with a reinforcement, which gives strength while maintaining the softness of the bag structure. A suede leather lining is then combined. The body of the bag is assembled and the leather bottom, equipped with metal feet, is sewn to the body of the bag. In the final phase, the fastening is assembled to the body using metal screws which is exclusively made for ETRO through a mould of galvanised gold. The chain closure ends with a logoed medallion crafted and moulded with the same technique used to mint coins.
